Etude House PPK007 Dot Dance

Etude House PPK007 (or Dot Dance) is a clear base full of pastel colored hex glitter. I'm super picky about my glitter polishes, and this one does not disappoint. The proportion of smaller and larger hex glitters is perfect and the glitter distributes really well on the nail. I'm wearing one coat of Etude House PPK007 over two coats of Orly Rage.
Apologies for the wavy nails, they have been particularly bad this summer

Also apologies for a poor clean up job, didn't even notice until I took the photos

Note to self: next time photo your non dominate hand, YIKES
For those of you cringing over my nail ridges, I ran out right after taking these photos to Ulta and bought a new ridge filling base coat. I used to use the Zoya and it did nothing for me. My base coat along with top coat make my nails feel flat so I forget that I actually have ridges.  Etude House always has the cutest bottles. If you are looking for a good spring glitter I'd recommend this one, it also looks great by itself.

ps. Based on a quick search on ebay it looks like this bottle design and possibly some of the Etude House colors are being discontinued , so if you want this one (or any of their others) I wouldn't sit on it for too long.

OPI A Woman's Prague-Ative

I finally bought this polish last week. I had been meaning to pick it up since it came out last year. Anyway, I hesitated about this for quite a while due how it looked in photos online. This polish was ridiculously difficult to photograph, all the gold shimmer had a tendency to pull a bit brassy on my camera (and ended up looking quite a bit like OPI Rising Star) and not color accurate at all. Turns out my objectively better camera wasn't the best option, for this polish my phone camera was. So I have photos from both.

Brian Eno Visual Music complements my nails quite well I think

OPI Take the Stage, OPI A Woman's Prague-Ative, Zoya Amy

It is quite similar to another OPI polish from the Burlesque collection named Take the Stage.  As you can see above A Woman's Prague-Ative (such an annoying name!) is basically the same color as Take the Stage just with a lot of gold glitter. This polish is honestly what I had hoped Take the Stage would be. Both are beautiful, Take the Stage just translates more of a rusty burnt orange rather than golden burnt orange. And as you can see while Zoya Amy is also a glassfleck filled orange it is more of a true orange.

A Disclaimer of Sorts

I would like to start out by saying a couple of things about my blog before anyone gets disappointed. Which is a bit silly of me since I haven't posted a single post about polish yet. But, nonetheless, I figured a disclaimer was in order. I am not a nail professional, as you might be able to tell from my blog name, I am a pharmacist. This blog is just for me to show and share polishes that I am currently wearing/enjoying. Some polishes aren't swatched much and are difficult to find swatches of online. I figured by sharing mine I could hopefully help someone else who might be looking for a specific color. That is basically it! I don't intend to become the next Scrangie (though I do love her blog), nor do I ever anticipate nor desire to be sent anything by any company ever. These are my honest opinions.

I also am not a photographer, especially in macro. I'm much more comfortable with landscapes, which are much easier to set up. Hopefully I will get better with time. All I hope is that my photos might help someone someday!

Basically the reason for my blog

video is of Corner Gas episode Blog River

This blog exists because in terms of nail polish, I am the Hank of the house. Well, actually, no one wants to hear most of my thoughts. But at least other people might want to read my thoughts on polish. Or maybe not.
