I was out shopping and found in a clearance bin this beautiful yellow. I had wanted to buy it when it came out as a mini a year or two ago, and then when I saw it was being made in full size I had thought about buying it again, but it seemed too similar to some other yellows I had. But when I saw it on clearance for 99 cents I couldn't help but buy it. Turns out it isn't like any other yellow I own.
This yellow is far more vibrant than the others I own. It also seems a bit more orange than Zoya Kerry, and it is more orange than Color Club's Daisy Does It. It doesn't have the silvery foil undertone that Zoya Kerry does but it also doesn't have the glass fleck-ness that Color Club's does (nor the teal/green/blue hidden shift). It is hard to explain the finish of it, it seems a bit foily and a bit glass fleck-y. It is, I think just a very pigmented fine glass fleck. It seems to just glow in the light and looks really nice in the sun and the shade. I'm wearing it here at three coats, but I think two would probably be ok as well. Not much else to say, if you can find it cheap it is totally worth it, or even if you pay 5 bucks or less it is probably worth it. I've seen some stores carry the Cover Girl polishes for 7 or 8 bucks (the store I bought this from sells them for 4 normally), I wouldn't spend that on it and I love this color. My motto is only buy permanent drugstore shades on sale or on clearance (unless I really think I can't live without it).
Anyway, I hope you have had a nice July so far :-)
