Ciate Beach Hut

I've been terrible at posting blogs lately, I'm sorry about that. I do think a lot of it was because I spent just about every waking moment watching the Daily Show Month of Zen marathon so that was a good chunk of the last two months. I was too busy being sad to worry about nail polish. Not that I was so sad I couldn't do anything, I just spent a lot of time watching the live stream.

I grew up watching The Daily Show, I started watching it with my parents in 1999 I was at that age where you start to realize there is more to the world than just going to school, your friends and your family. It is a magical time I think in a kids life (at least for mine) seeing and learning all about the complex things that happen in this world the good and the bad, so it definitely was a big deal for me when he said he was going to retire, aside from Junior/Senior year of highschool when I was too busy studying for AP tests to watch and during late undergrad when I was also too busy studying to watch tv I spent a lot of my evenings watching the previous night's Daily Show. I'm not sure how I"d have gotten through pharmacy school without that bit of comic relief every night to help me attempt to relax.  Letterman leaving was sad for me but I always knew he'd retire eventhouhg I'd watched him as well with my family I knew he'd have to retire, but Jon is my parents age and I didn't think the possibility of him retiring anytime soon wasn't even in my brain as something to think about.

Anyway, I have some new polishes (to me) and I've done an awful job of photographing them so I'll share this one, Ciate's Beach Hut, definitely not the best photos I've taken but better than the other ones I've shot this summer.


Beach Hut came from Ciate's bottled sunshine collection which I'm pretty sure came out Summer 2012 (but I could be wrong) I wanted the whole collection but it wasn't exactly feasible for me at the time and honestly I think it would have been a waste of money. I bought this one on sale and while it is pretty it isn't amazing or anything.  I also have some hesitancy with Ciate due to all the hullabaloo about fish egg manicures.  Not going to bother with that, but I do think it was a crappy thing of them to do.

Anyway onward to the photos!

Ugh this is looking patchy and chippy :-( But that's what I had I'm pretty sure I'm wearing three coats. Maybe I"m wrong maybe it was only two coats, but it reminded me very much of OPI's A Woman's Prague-ative. It is nice, but not a must have color, maybe I will get a better shot once it is closer to fall.  Definitely not worth the full price tag of 15 bucks.




Anyway I'm hoping the fall collections are exciting and I have something interesting to blog in the coming months as I've been pretty disappointed with the spring/summer collections this year.

I will leave you with one of my favorite Jon Stewart clips, and a promise to myself that I will be better with blog posts. I know it doesn't matter and basically no one reads my blog but it makes me happy knowing I might help someone looking for photos of something or other one day.
